Bartender/Server

Job Description

Bartenders/servers are expected to provide efficient, clean and customer driven service. Bartenders/servers should have a clear understanding of The Tipsy Cow’s menu and be able to describe and sell our food and drinks to all guests. They are committed to keeping all areas clean and providing the highest level of service throughout every shift with a positive attitude. Bartenders/servers must always be moving with a sense of urgency and anticipate the needs of all customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Bartenders/servers must be able to greet all customers promptly.

• Have strong menu knowledge and understand menu items in order to be able to communicate that information to customers and communicate orders to the kitchen.

• Record drink and food orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the P.O.S. system. • Receive and serve food orders to guests.

• Accept guest payment and process credit card charges.

• Stock and maintain cleanliness in the dining and bar area including tables, counters, sinks, utensils, glassware, etc.

• Assist in the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.

• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of The Tipsy Cow.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent education).

• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, employees and all guests.

• Have working knowledge of beer, liquor and common drink recipes.

• Must have a flexible schedule and willing to working nights and weekends.

• Understanding knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.

• Physically be able to stand and move during the length of the shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to lift up to 25 pounds or more

• Must have reliable transportation

• Previous bartending experience preferred.
